There is no obstacle for extension of Grain Deal - Erdogan

"Within the framework of "Grain transport deal", 363 ships, 8 million tonnes of grain, and other food products have been delivered to world markets," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview with local journalists while returning from Azerbaijan, APA's correspondent in Istanbul reports.

He noted that 62% of the cargo departing from Ukrainian ports went to Europe, 19.5% to Asia, 13% to Africa, and 5.3% to Middle East countries.

According to Erdogan, on the other hand, 454 thousand 626 tonnes of wheat were sent to the least developed countries, which is only 5.7% of the total volume.

President of Türkiye stressed that there are no barriers to the extension of the Grain Deal.

"I understood it again yesterday evening in my phone conversation with Zelenskyy and in my discussion with Mr. Putin. But in the meantime, if there is any blockage, there is no obstacle for us to remove it," he added.
