Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on multiple areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, overnight into Aug. 5, local authorities said.
The strikes sparked fires in residential buildings and warehouse facilities across several districts of the city.
According to preliminary information, at least three people were hospitalized, one of whom is in critical condition.
Authorities also reported damage to warehouse and industrial facilities in the Bucha, Brovary and Fastiv districts of the Kyiv region. Civilians were reportedly injured in the attacks.
Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.
