At the meeting with my Swiss counterpart, I emphasized the importance of last year's Washington Summit in advancing the normalization process with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Swiss Federal Councillor, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ignazio Cassis, APA reports.
"Among the documents adopted there, we can, of course, highlight the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders, the initialing of the peace agreement, as well as the joint appeal by Azerbaijan and Armenia to the OSCE participating States for the dissolution of the Minsk Group institutions related to the former conflict. This process was fully completed within the OSCE in December last year. These institutions were dissolved and, so to speak, a conflict within the OSCE area came to an end. We believe this was the most significant development within the OSCE context last year," Jeyhun Bayramov stressed.
