“On the one hand, our countries protect rights and interests of their citizens in multinational platforms, and on the other hand strengthen solidarity in Turkish Council which is an only organization bringing the Turkish World together. Especially, events that we witnessed in recent years, showed that improving new cooperation ways from trade to transport, from defence to health, in every field is a necessity for us more than a need, “ said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his video address to the participants of the first meeting of Prosecutors General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), APA reports citing Milliyet newspaper.
Emphasizing that the Turkish Council, established 12 years ago, is a symbol of unity and equality, Erdogan stated that its trust on a global scale is increasing.
He noted that the Turkish Council is no longer a regional cooperation format but an international organization: “The number of countries intending to cooperate with the Turkish Council and become members of the organization with observer status is increasing day by day.”
Turkish President recalled that the Turkish Council Media Forum was recently held in Istanbul: “In the discussions held on the sidelines of the forum, we had the opportunity to identify our strengths and weaknesses. We have made critical decisions that will increase the activities of our relevant agencies in the fight against disinformation campaigns targeting our countries.”
