The U.S. plan to end Russia’s war against Ukraine contains many useful elements, but some provisions need refinement for greater effectiveness, APA reports citing Fox News.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this during an interview on a channel, with no reference to a specific source.
"I don’t want to go through the plan line by line, especially since it is currently being discussed," said Rutte
Following this, he noted that among the plan’s advantages there are many useful provisions, but some aspects require refinement to better meet the requirements of the peace process.
"There are many good elements in the plan, and some elements need improvement," added Rutte.
A positive momentum in the discussions, as indicated, was noted after the Geneva talks on the peace framework document, confirming progress in the joint search for ways to resolve the conflict.
Rutte also noted that within the peace process there will be separate discussions on aspects related to the EU and NATO, which will be conducted outside the main negotiating track.
