NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said at a press conference following the Coalition of the Willing summit in London that the decision to provide Ukraine with specific types of weapons is entirely up to each individual ally and noted that the provision of Tomahawk missiles remains under consideration by US President Donald Trump, APA reports, citing pravda.com.ua.
The leaders were asked about the likelihood that Trump would supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
Rutte reiterated that it is "up to each ally to decide which type of weapons they want to deliver to Ukraine".
He also stated that Ukraine has the right to strike inside Russia to defend itself.
Rutte added that in July, Trump "decided to open the floodgates" with regard to providing Ukraine with defensive weapons, including equipment which only the US can decide to provide, such as interceptors for Patriot systems.
"The issue [the provision of Tomahawk missiles – ed.] remains under review by the president [Trump], and this is up to the US to decide," Rutte said.
