French President Emmanuel Macron declared that the issue of imposing an embargo on Russian gas supplies to Europe may become a subject of discussion within the framework of sanctions on Ukraine, but is not discussed today, APA reports citing Sputnik.
“This is an issue that may be on the negotiating table, but not yet today. Coal and oil are already being negotiated, gas is not yet. We know what huge difficulties this causes. Therefore, for many years you have heard me talking about Europe’s energy sovereignty,” Macron told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
