Kyiv: Hungarians arriving to inspect Druzhba oil pipeline have no official status

A group that arrived from Hungary to inspect the Druzhba oil pipeline has been allowed to enter Ukraine, said the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgii Tykhyi, during a briefing with journalists, APA reports, citing European Pravda.

Tykhyi stressed that it would be incorrect to describe this group as a “delegation,” as they do not have official status and no meetings have been scheduled.

“This morning, a group of Hungarian citizens entered the territory of Ukraine, but they do not have official status and no official meetings have been planned,” he said.

It should be noted that earlier it was reported that a delegation led by Hungarian Energy Ministry State Secretary Gabor Csepeki would visit Ukraine to inspect the Druzhba oil pipeline.
