Georgia is on the right path and the European Union (EU) should adjust its course, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told to journalists, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted that it is unclear where European bureaucracy is leading the EU.
“We are moving in the right direction and we know our goal. Our main foreign policy priority is European integration,” Kobakhidze added.
According to the prime minister, the EU’s decision to temporarily suspend the visa-free regime for holders of Georgia’s diplomatic, service and official passports demonstrates double standards.
“This shows that complete chaos prevails in European bureaucracy. The situation is tragic,” he added.
It should be noted that on March 6, the European Commission temporarily suspended the visa-free travel regime for holders of Georgia’s diplomatic, service and official passports. The decision will remain in force for one year.
