"We get positive signals from Budapest about Sweden’s NATO membership and ratification of protocol regarding this issue by Hungary's parliament," Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Bilstrom told journalists before the EU Foreign Affairs Council, APA reports.
“We believe that it will happen during the autumn, even in the coming next weeks. There is left only Turkiye, after Hungary’s ratification of the procedure We will review this, as you know, the case regarding Turkiye is different,” Swedish FM said.
The Minister noted that the Hungarian parliament may ratify the protocol until the mid of December: "Signals from Budapest are positive and I think that there is no cause hindering the ratification and we had fulfilled the responsibilities."
