"Putin and I discussed the achievement of peace in Ukraine and the shortest way to achieve it," the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán said following talks with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Orbán said that he wanted to hear Putin’s views on three important issues and he did: “What does the President think about a ceasefire and peace talks, the sequence in which they could take place, and how Putin views Europe after the military conflict? After visits to Kyiv and Moscow, I understood that the positions of the parties are far apart."

The Hungarian leader said that he talked to the Russian President about Zelenskyy's reaction to the ceasefire proposal.

Orbán also noted that he will continue his efforts towards resolving the conflict following his visits to Kyiv and Moscow.
