The German government is preparing to lift most restrictions put into place to curb the Omicron variant, a draft document says, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"Broad restrictions of social, cultural and economic life should be gradually lifted by the start of spring on March 20, 2022," it stated. The document is expected to be adopted on Wednesday.
Last week, German health officials indicated a reopening in spring is likely, although they insisted on keeping the current measures in place for the time being. The country's 7-day incidence rate peaked again on Saturday, reaching 1474.3 per 100,000 people.
