Georgian President expresses confidence that relations with US will be restored under Trump

After Donald Trump's victory, the pseudo-liberal order in the world has begun to change, I would call it the Donald Trump effect, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said during his speech in the Georgian parliament, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.

He stressed that he is confident that US-Georgian relations will be rebuilt under Donald Trump.

“The processes taking place in the United States and their echoes throughout the world have once again convinced the Georgian people of the correct policy and values pursued by the Georgian state. Peace policy, the primacy of national interests, the preservation of conservative and traditional values, the strength of the family, the strengthening of the role of Christianity - these are the values that our state has stood for over the past decade. It is clear that the policy of the United States of America will be based on these values for the next four years. Therefore, such a correspondence of values and worldviews gives me reason to deeply believe that during the new administration, we will be able to rebuild and normalize relations with the United States,” Kavelashvili said.
