Georgia needs a kind of Nuremberg trial to prevent the country from returning to its dark past, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze said in an interview with journalists, APA's Georgian bureau reports
"We must take our country back to the very end, for this everything must be called by its proper name – the criminal must be called a criminal, and the foreign agent must be called a foreign agent. Indeed, these crimes are known - they are the murders in prisons, tortures, business racketeering, and the military crimes in 2008. All of these are known to us, but it is necessary to clarify everything once again that the public shall be reminded of everything.
We need a kind of Nuremberg trial so that Georgia will never return to its dark past of 2004-2012. No one should return our country to the regime that existed before 2012. This was a bloody regime controlled from abroad, and its crimes will be thoroughly investigated within the framework of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission," the Prime Minister said.
