Georgian MIA: We had communication with the Ukrainian side, Mikheil Saakashvili did not leave Ukraine"

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mikheil Saakashvili has not left Ukraine, APA reports citing Georgian Journal.

As Deputy Minister Alexander Darakhvelidze stated at the briefing held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the relevant information was received on the basis of communication with the Ukrainian side.

"We had active communication and relations with the Ukrainian side, and I can say with confidence that Mikheil Saakashvili did not leave the state border of Ukraine.

I repeat once again, clearly and unequivocally, Mikheil Saakashvili did not cross the state border of Georgia and did not leave the state border of Ukraine. As for Mikheil Saakashvili, he is wanted, he has been sentenced and if he crosses the state border, we will detain him and transfer him to the relevant penitentiary institution", - Darakhvelidze said.
