Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen on Monday unveiled the Danish Embassy in Georgia’s capital city of Tbilisi, APA reports citing Agenda.ge.
In comments for the occasion, the top Georgian diplomat wished “every success” to diplomats of the office and said he was looking forward to “upgrading” the cooperation between the two countries to a “completely new level”.
In his remarks, Rasmussen noted it was an “honour” to officially open his country’s Embassy in Georgia.
“The Embassy is a testament to our historically close bond and Denmark’s support for Georgia’s European aspirations. Denmark is ready to assist Georgia on the path for EU candidate status”, he noted.
