“The process of Georgia's integration into the European Union has been suspended,” said Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Carl Hartzell during the conference dedicated to EU’s expansion, held in Tbilisi, APA reports.
He also said that the allocation of EUR 30 million intended by the EU to support Georgia's defense sector has been postponed for an indefinite period.
The diplomat also stated that this is not all of EU’s planned measures in relation witth Georgia: "We will direct the funds which were allocated to the Georgian government, to the development of civil society and media in this country. An agreement on this has already been reached."
