Debate to be held in European Parliament on the issue of Georgia today

The European Parliament will hold a debate on Georgia today, the European Parliament has announced, APA reports, citing interpressnews.ge.

According to the agenda published on the official website of the European Parliament, the title of the debate is “The case of Elene Khoshtaria and political prisoners under the Georgian Dream regime.”

The European Parliament will vote on a resolution on the issue on Thursday, March 12.

It should be noted that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze recently stated that the discussions to be held in the European Parliament (EP) are not of interest to the government. According to him, the fact that some people are still talking about political prisoners is simply embarrassing.

Recall that over the past year, several debates on Georgia have been held in the European Parliament, and resolutions against the country have been adopted.
