The President of the EU Council, Charles Michel, was invited to the meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries, APA reports.
President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomard Tokayev invited the EU leader to the meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries to be held in Astana on October 26-27.
The President of the EU Council expressed his satisfaction with this invitation and said that on the sidelines of his visit to the region, he would visit Uzbekistan on October 28 and meet with President Shovkat Mirziyoyev.
"EU is ready to deepen ties with Central Asia & support intra-regional cooperation," Charles Michel stated.
