The UK may hold talks with the Syrian group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, despite it being on the list of banned organisations, said UK Defence Secretary John Healey at the end of a meeting of the government's emergency Cobra committee, APA reports.
"This does not prevent us from talking to all parties. Our interest in HTS is that they fulfill their promises to protect the rights of all people and all groups, respect international law, and prevent Syria from becoming a springboard for a new terrorist threat," the minister said.
