Josep Borrell Fontelles, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs spoke with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.Amirabdollahian, Borrel wrote on his Twitter page, APA reports.
"I spoke with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.Amirabdollahian to convey again EU's clear and united position: people in Iran have the right to peaceful protest and to defend fundamental rights. Violent repression must stop immediately. Protesters must be released. Internet access and accountability are needed," he noted.
