Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli–APA. “I expected the results of voting so. This issue was brought up to the discussion with 24 votes, but only 20 parliamentarians voted against it. I think the decision is objective. They understood that it was impossible to solve any issue with the sanctions”, said Russian delegate to PACE Konstantin Kosachev after the voting in PACE, APA European bureau reports.
The parliamentarian said the Council of Europe had unique missions to establish relations between the sides, to invite them to the dialogue and to vote against the using force in the international relations. Kosachev said he expected hard discussions on Friday. “We can to make the Assembly avoid the hasty decision and step. Tomorrow we will try to prove that Georgia began the conflict, Russia had no way out and Moscow saved lives of hundreds and thousands of peoples. This is a solemn duty of any country calling itself democratic”.
