Search-operations were carried out in his house and computer and several documents were confiscated. 8 more people along with Ozkan have been arrested.
Ozkan is one of the persons known with his strict position against current Turkish Government. The journalist is a leader of Public Movement “Biz kach kishiyiz†(How many people we are). He announced that he would establish a political party basing on this movement.
Ozkan was obliged to sell Kanalturk TV Channel owned by him previously and opened new TV Channel Kanal biz.
Former director of Kanalturk Ahmad Bulud, pro-opposition writer of Cumhuriyyet newspaper, former head of Asanyurt Municipality of Istanbul Gurbuz Chapan and several men have also been arrested within the framework of Ergenekon operation.
