Garrison Commander of Turkey’s Kocaeli Province meets arrested generals on Ergenekon operation

Istanbul-APA. On behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces, Commander of a garrison in Kocaeli, General Galib Mendi Kandira visited retired generals Sener Eruygur and Hursit Tolon, who were arrested within the scope of Ergenekon investigation, APA reports
The visit was made public by a statement posted on the web-site of the General Staff. Thus, it was shown that the new commanders were backing their former brothers-in-arms. The statement said that the visit was paid on behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces, and stressed that it covered all members of the Turkish Armed Forces. It also said the army has full respect and belief in the Turkish judicial system.
Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said it would wrong to try to create other meanings from this visit.
Ayla Tolon, spouse of arrested general Hursit Tolon said:
â€œAt length, the army defended its honest man served for his motherland for a long time. Respectful, lovable, high-rank hero of Turkish Armed Forces should not be in such condition,â€ she said.
