Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Taking a stance on the recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by Russia, Chairman of Ukrainian Parliament Arseniy Yasenyuk said official Moscow violated international law.
“This may cause a number of negative results concerning the ‘frozen conflicts’. I would like to mention that besides South Ossetia and Abkhazia, there are Transdnestria, Karabakh conflicts and numerous similar situations in the world,” he said.
He mentioned that he had earlier said the conflicts in Georgia posed serious threat to geopolitical stability.

Yasenyuk said Kosovo precedent was also far from perfect in terms of international law and noted that making such decisions was in the competence of the UN and Security Council.
“Unfortunately, international law was observed neither in terms of Kosovo, nor Georgia.
