Baku – APA. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has replied the inquiry of Republican People’s Party Parliamentarian Canan Aritman about the measures Turkish authorities have taken against screening of the documentary Aghet, which refers Armenian view of history regarding 1915 incidents, in German public TV, APA reports quoting turkishny.com web-page.
“Allegations that Turkish government remains silent against baseless Armenian claims are unacceptable,” Davutoglu said. “Our reaction against the anti-Turkish activities of radical Armenian circles in Germany, is being reflected to the German authorities in every occasion and in every level. Turkish Embassy in Berlin took necessary measures on April 8 via German Foreign Ministry,” Davutoglu said.
Stressing that Turkish community in Germany is informed on Armenian allegations through several channels, Davutoglu said that Germany’s Ambassador to Ankara Eckart Cuntz was called to Turkish Foreign Ministry and he was told that Turkey expects Germany to prevent inadequate and biased events related to 1915 incidents.
Refuting the claims that government remains silent on groundless allegations Davutoglu said that Foreign Ministry does everything necessary against the propaganda of Armenian thesis. “Turkey spares no effort to prevent these allegations to be brought on the agenda and to be adopted in the foreign parliaments,” Davutoglu said.
