Baku-APA. Turkish military forces have killed four militants in a fresh military operation against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the southeastern province of Hakkari, APA reports quoting Press TV.
The clash took place at around 11:00 a.m. local time (0900 GMT) on Saturday in the mountainous Semdinli district of Hakkari province, near the Iraq border, when soldiers on a security sweep came across a group of PKK members, according to a report published by CNN-Turk.
The report added that two women were among the militants killed in the clash.
A Turkish corporal, identified as Emrah Yalim, also lost his life in the fierce firefight with the PKK militants.
