SOCAR stocks to rise through partnership with Euro-2016: report

The bank divided the â€œfootball teamâ€ into two parts â€“ the main players and reserve players, APA-Economics reported.

The â€œmain playersâ€ include three air carriers â€“ Ryanair, EasyJet and Air France-KLM, British Broadcasting Corporation ITV, beer manufactures â€“ Carlsberg and Heineken, British bookmaker Paddy Power, Adidas Group, French construction companies Vinci and Eiffage, as well as AccorHotels Group of France.

Among the â€œreserve playersâ€ are Coca-Cola Company, French TF1 TV channel, the French luxury goods holding company Kering (which owns brands Brioni, Gucci and some other), Chinese electronics manufacturer Hisense, Turkish Airlines, as well as the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). Â

Euro-2016 in France will be the most lucrative tournament conducted by UEFA in history.Â

Bloomberg says that the profit of the tournament organizers will be about 2 billion euros, 600,000 up than Euro-2012 jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine.

According to the agency, the organizers will earn about 1 billion euros from the sale of rights to broadcast (25% more than in 2012) and 450 million euros from sponsors. The rest of the money will from the sale of 2.5 million tickets.

SOCAR is one of the sponsors of Euro-2016.Â
