Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has released statement on selling 3.4% of shares of Petkim Holding in Turkey.
SOCAR told APA-Economics that the sale transaction will be carried out to the foreign stocks located in the US and implementing investments in the international markets for 4 Turkish Lira. The transaction will be carried out by Unlu&Co Company in Istanbul Wholesale Market.
SOCAR Turkey CEO Kenan Yavuz said that this transaction is an indicator of high confidence of foreign investors in SOCAR and Petkim: “These shares were bought in 2009-2010 for 2.10 Turkish Lira and therefore, we’ll get benefit from this transaction”.
He also noted that the transaction will not cause any change in the ownership status of the SOCAR in Petkim.
