Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani delegation led by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev has attended the 20th Uzbekistan International Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference in Tashkent.
SOCAR told APA-Economics that Abdullayev held several official meetings within the exhibition.
At the meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Abdullayev stressed importance of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline in realization of the Southern Gas Corridor. Underlining significance of the TAP, Borisov wished success to shareholders, including SOCAR.
Moreover, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were discussed in the meeting with the first Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Gulomjon Ibragimov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the national holding company Uzbekneftegaz Alisher Sultanov.
As a part of the visit, Abdullayev and Sultanov have signed a memorandum of Understanding. The MoU envisages exploration, exploitation and development of oil and gas fields between the two companies.
