FM: SOCAR and Gazprom are discussing price of gas to be transported to Azerbaijan

Baku. Aqshin Rafigoghlu - APA-Economics. SOCAR and Gazprom are conducting regular talks on Azerbaijan’s purchase of 3 bln cubic meters of natural gas from Russia.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in an interview to Russia’s Kommersant newspaper, APA-Economics reports.

“The sides are discussing parameters and costs. Each company is thinking about optimal income and this is a normal process. The transportation capacity is one of the issues on the agenda”, said the minister.

To the journalist’s statement “A source in Moscow informs that the West doesn’t accept this contract and therefore, Baku is hesitating to sign it”, Mammadyarov answered that he doesn’t see any political motive in this issue: “This is like looking for a black cat in a dark room.”
