Azerbaijan sees 1% decline in crude oil production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-May 2016, Azerbaijan produced AZN 7.8 bln-products in the mining sector of industry, down 0.3% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the crude oil production made 17.5 mln tonnes, marketable gas production – 7.8 bcm.

In January-May 2016, 17,544,300 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 0.7% compared to the four months of previous year. Consequently, the finished product made 375,700 tonnes.

Of this, 17,522,100 tonnes are marketable crude oil, down 0.7% in annual comparison.

During the reporting period, 12,451,600,000 cubic meters of gas were produced in the country, up 0.5% from 2015. Finished product stood at 1,026,700 cubic meters.

Of this, 7,822,700,000 cubic meters are marketable gas, down 9.9% compared to 2015.
