Azerbaijan sees 14% decline in gasoline production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based oil enterprises produced AZN 2,613.6 mln-products throughout 2014, down 6.1% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee says 1,207,000 tonnes of gasoline were produced last year, down 14.2% by contrast to a year earlier. Consequently, as of January 1, the finished product made 23,700 tonnes.

During this period, 2,895,900 tonnes of diesel fuel were produced, up 16.1% compared to a year earlier. Finished product stood at 23,300 tonnes. Oil bitumen production fell 26.2% to 18,000 tonnes.

Kerosene production fell 0.9% to 696,600 tonnes with the finished product of 23,600 tonnes.

Oil bitumen production made 241,900 tonnes, down 22.6% from 2013. Finished products were 5,400 tonnes.

Lubricating oil rose 13.9% to 53,300 tonnes (finished product – 1,900 tonnes), Gasoline for oil and chemical industry grew 75.8% to 219,740 tonnes (finished product – 668,000 tonnes)
