Azerbaijan reduces oil and gas production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-February 2016, Azerbaijan produced products the worth AZN 2.7 bln in the mining sector of industry, down 0.8% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the crude oil production made 6.9 mln tonnes, marketable gas production – 3.2 bcm. Oil production declined 1.8%, gas production rose 6.2%.

In January-February 2016, 6,867,400 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 1.4% compared to the previous year. Consequently, the finished product made 323,900 tonnes. Of this, 6,857,500 tonnes are marketable crude oil, down 1.4% in comparison with a year earlier.

During the reporting period, 4,945.2 mln cubic meters of gas were produced in the country, up 2.5% from 2015. Finished product stood at 954,600 cubic meters. Of this, 3,154.7 mln cubic meters are marketable gas, down 8.3% compared to 2014.
