Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan produced oil products worth AZN 1,084,000,000 in January – May 2016, down 8.8% from previous year.
According to State Statistical Committee, gasoline production made 471,000 tonnes, down 10.4% compared to a year ago. Finished products stood at 69,500 tonnes.
Diesel production fell 27.2% to 980,700 tonnes (finished product – 65,200 tonnes), kerosene production declined 5.5% to 275,200 tonnes (finished product – 48,400 tonnes), oil bitumen production dropped 14.4% to 47,700 tonnes (finished product – 10,200 tonnes), and lubricating oil production declined 29.6% to 5,000 tonnes (finished product – 12,300).
79,000 tonnes of petrol for petro-chemical industry were produced during the same period, down 15.9% by contrast to a year earlier. Finished product made 1,900 tonnes.
Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 374,800 tonnes of furnace oil, up 187.4 times from 2015. As of June 1, 2016, the finished product stood at 11,100 tonnes.
Petroleum coke production slid 30.7% to 69,300 tonnes (finished products – 800 tonnes).
