Azerbaijan gets 10% decline in production of oil products

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan produced oil products worth AZN 840.0 mln in January – April 2016, down 9.5% from previous year.

 

According to State Statistical Committee, gasoline production made 368,800 tonnes, down 8.1% compared to a year ago. Finished products stood at 65,300 tonnes.

 

Diesel production fell 30.5% to 776,300 tonnes (finished product – 56,000 tonnes), kerosene production rose 5.8% to 217,600 tonnes (finished product – 47,500 tonnes), oil bitumen production dropped 38.2% to 30,200 tonnes (finished product – 7,300 tonnes), and lubricating oil production declined 50.0% to 2,100 tonnes (finished product – 10,300).

 

Production of petrol for petro-chemical industry slid 15.3% to 60,300 tonnes during the same period. Finished product made 2,100 tonnes.

 

Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 355,600 tonnes of furnace oil, up 197.6 times by contrast to 2015. As of May 1, 2016, the finished product stood at 10,400 tonnes.

 

Petroleum coke production slid 49.8% to 44,100 tonnes (finished products – 1,100 tonnes).
