On January, 2023, 3 269,1 thousand tons of oil were transported in Azerbaijan via main oil pipelines, which is 0.43 % more in annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.
76 % of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline and 2 486,1 thousand tons of oil were transferred through this pipeline in 2023, which is 1.87 % more in yearly comparison.
During the reporting period, 82.7% or 2 055,3 tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was produced in Azerbaijan, and 17.3% or 430,8 thousand tons of (16.2 % increase) of it was the oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
