The development of gas production projects and the expansion of existing infrastructure require long-term contracts, said Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov during the press conference dedicated to the results of the 11th meeting of the Ministers of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 3rd meeting of the Ministers of the Green Energy Advisory Council held in Baku, APA reports.
According to him, it is necessary to reach long-term agreements to increase gas exports to Europe.
"In addition, it is important to provide guarantees from the European Commission and allocate possible funding from relevant institutions," Parviz Shahbazov noted.
