The International Energy Agency (IEA) asserted Thursday that the world energy order is being reshaped after the invasion of Russia while stressing that global energy emissions will peak in 2025, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
The latest report by the agency highlights that the current energy crisis is impacting and delivering a shock of remarkable breadth and complexity. However, this situation is moving governments to take longer-term steps. The new scenario will "propel global clean energy investment to more than $2 trillion a year by 2030, a rise of more than 50% from today."
"Energy markets and policies have changed as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, not just for the time being, but for decades to come," concluded IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol.
