The Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the US Department of Energy has slightly increased its forecast for daily global demand for liquid hydrocarbons for 2025-2026, APA-Economics reports citing the EIA's monthly report.
This year's global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons will average 104.14 million barrels, which is 0.04 million barrels more than the previous forecast.
According to the EIA forecast, the indicated indicator in 2026 is expected to be at the level of 105.18 million barrels (previous forecast indicator - 105.15 million barrels).
It is noted that in 2024, the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons averaged 102.77 million barrels, which is an increase of 0.63 million barrels compared to the indicator of 2023 (102.14 million barrels).
It is worth noting that in 2022, the global daily demand for liquid hydrocarbons averaged 99.15 million barrels. In 2021, this indicator was 97.56 million barrels, in 2020 - 91.81 million barrels, and in 2019, this indicator was at the level of $ 101.23.
