Azerbaijan increases oil export to European countries-RANKING

In January-May of this year, 8 797 819,46 tonnes of oil worth USD 3,585 bln. have been exported from Azerbaijan to the European countries, according to calculations of APA-Economics on the basis of information of State Customs Committee and State Statistics Committee.

The volume of the oil exported to Europe has increased by 3.8%, while the value by 7.6% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

The largest importer of Azerbaijani oil has been Italy among European countries. In the first five months of the current year, Italy imported 5 982 918,16 tonnes of oil worth USD 2,450 bln. from Azerbaijan, which is 3.3% more in volume, while 1.6% more in value in annual comparison.

Note that Spain, which ranks second in the European oil export market of Azerbaijan, imported 865 947,16 tonnes of oil worth USD 338,982 mln., which is 4 times more in volume, while 3.5 times more in value in annual comparison.
