EU-Azerbaijan Sub-Committee on Energy, Transport & Environment to meet in Baku, April 1

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. As part of a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan, the 4th meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Sub-Committee on Energy, Transport & Environment will take place in Baku on April 1, said he Ministry of Industry and Energy.
The ministry said in statement that the European Commission will be represented in the meeting by Alan Waddams (the EC representative in Baku), Andrew Bernard, Aili Rubilis, Jean-Louis Lavroff, Christopher Ross and other officials.
From Azerbaijani side, representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Ecology & Natural Resources, Sate Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), AzerEnerji (national electricity operator), AzeriQaz CJSC (national gas-supply operator), AzAL (Azerbaijan Airlines), Azersu (national water operator) and other agencies.
The meeting will focus on issues of energy, transport and environment protection in Eastern Partnership, the Situation on EU Energy Sector, including the 2nd Energy Strategy Report, Implementation of Memorandum of Understanding on Energy, and Energy Security and Infrastructure Development, and current affairs.
