Azerbaijan Minister of Industry and Energy meets with Lithuanian Minister for Foreign Affairs

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has met Lithuania;s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Usacka.
Natig Aliyev brified the Lithuanian minister about the implementation of projects, in particular regional projects in the country’s energy sector, said the ministry.
He added that Azerbaijan is closely cooperating with the EU on the issue of energy security and supports Lithuania’s efforts in this direction.
According to the minister, the diversification of energy routes might play an important role in ensuring reliable and uninterruptible energy supply to the EU.
He also stressed that Azerbaijan supports projects envisioning the delivery of Caspian oil and gas to the Black Sea and Baltic Sea regions, as well as Central Europe, and backs the initiative to establish Odessa-Brody pipeline.
Vygaudas Usacka said that Lithuania views Azerbaijan as its closest strategic partner in the Caucasus in terms of political and economic perspective.
In his words, Lithuania intends to develop its energy security with close the participation of Azerbaijan.
