Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. Representative of Azerbaijan’s ruling party has expressed concern over the Azerbaijanis fighting abroad, especially in Syria, APA reports.
At today’s meeting of the Parliament deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Siyavush Novruzov said he is concerned over the fact that the number of the Azerbaijanis leaving to fight abroad is increasing, noted that the state should take serious measures.
The parliamentarian said amendments to the legislation give hope that serious results will be made towards the solution of the problem.
“Despite this, the state should exercise serious control over the organizations inciting these persons to fight abroad. We have Karabakh problem, occupied lands to fight for. But they go to fight abroad. It is not known yet what will be their way of thinking after the return. Therefore, we consider that the state should take serious measures,” he said.
