Markov said the mentioned errors did not affect the results: “Other missions also appreciated the elections. I congratulate Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the victory. I think, the citizens have supported Ilham Aliyev due to the development of economy with the oil and gas incomes, implementation of social programs, successful continuation of the policy of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan. At the same time, I think that the reason of his victory was consolidation of powers around him and weakness of the opposition”.
