President criticized AZAL: Why airline tickets in comparison with other countries, have to be expensive?

Baku-APA. "AZAL has a high level of services, I welcome this. However, Azerbaijan does not buy fuel abroad, but makes it. After all, in comparison with other countries, kerosene is sold at a low price, so why tickets are so expensive?," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the country’s socio-economic development in the first half of 2015 and the objectives for the future, APA reports.

The President noted that AZAL receives large subsidies from the state: "All aircrafts are purchased by the state budget, airports are being built by the state, all the conditions created by the state. In this case, why airline tickets in comparison with other countries, you have to be expensive? ".

The President instructed the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Economics to conduct a comparative analysis on this issue with other countries: "There should be a mechanism for the settlement, everything should be transparent, and prices should not be overestimated."
