According to him, the CEC is accrediting these observers.
“On the election day, all our citizens above 18 years of age have the right to observe the elections. Anyone can apply to the Central Election Commission countrywide. To observe on the district, there is no need to apply to the Central Election Commission. They can apply to the district election commission they want to observe. We have not had any problems with observes in previous years, either. The number of observers has reached 50,000. We have always invited international organizations who want to monitor the elections in Azerbaijan. Three bodies are authorized to invite observers – the Parliament, the Foreign Ministry, and the Central Election Commission,” said Mazahir Panahov.
