Baku-APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov has today received rapporteur of the Human Rights Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Miles Repsi, the press service of the Ministry told APA.
The minister informed that in order to increase professionalism of the employees of law-enforcement agencies, nearly 1,500 employees have participated in the different trainings and seminars of the Council of Europe, OSCE and other international organizations during past 4 years, APA reports.
He mentioned that special action plan was developed at the Ministry for the execution of the tasks arising from the orders signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
At the same time, operation of 102 service and “Safe City” Automatic Control System serve the protection of human rights and freedoms. Moreover, Hot Line, e-mail address play important role in useful organization of public relations and solution of appeals.
The rapporteur expressed her gratitude to Ramil Usubov for warm welcome and detailed information about the work done for protection of human rights and freedoms.
A number of issues were discussed at the meeting, Interior Minister answered the questions of the guests.
