Heroin worth AZN 250 000 seized from Masalli resident - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

As a result of the operation conducted by employees of the Drug Enforcement Unit of Khatai District Police Office, Masalli resident, 31-year-old Rufiz Rustamov was detained as a suspect, the Interior Minister’s press service told APA.

Though Rustamov attempted to escape from the police, but he was detained. 2 kg 505 grams of heroin in several packs were found on him and seized. In his testimony, Rustamov, who was formerly sentenced 5 times over a series of theft and other crimes, said that he was engaged in drug trafficking for a long time after he was released. For the last time, he brought to Baku a large amount of heroin, which he had obtained in Masalli region. Rustamov came near Khatai metro station to sell heroin to his client. But he was detained by police officers.

Criminal case has been launched into the fact, the source of drug is being investigated. Investigation is underway.

The price of the heroin, which was seized in the operation, in black bourse is more than AZN 250 000.
