Elnur Aslanov: â€œAttempts to link a number of Azerbaijani senior officials with nurculuk religious trend are results of deformed imaginationâ€

Ramiz Mikayiloglu - APA. “The radical opposition that is under the influence of certain foreign forces and has financial dependence on them is ready to betray the state interests, commit high treason,” head of Political Analysis and Information Provision Department of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov said, APA reports.

“Slanders against me and a number of senior officials, who are always committed to the statehood course of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and loyal to President Ilham Aliyev, the attempts to link us with nurculuk religious trend are the results of deformed imagination, are groundless.

Those who fail to go beyond the personal interests should realize that the period of “political myths” ended in Azerbaijan long ago, the society is watchful enough to differentiate between tales and reality. I would recommend them to engage in serious activities.

I am grateful to the media representatives who respecting the principles of professional journalism do not disseminate reports without clarifying them,” Elnur Aslanov said.
